You are an ancient and mythical captain who confidently holds the wheel of your ship. You are a brave captain who, by your own will, shortens the distance between us or makes it impossibly long. I sit upon the seashore, waving to you, and this is a certain sign that I am waiting for you. I am waiting for you on the stormy sea of life that threatens to swallow your ship. You raise the sails once again. The sky is clear. Only a gentle breeze points the way to me. You do not even need a compass. Your heart steers your ship. And it brings you safely to my shore.
I wait for you on the beach, wearing a green dress that reflects the fatal glow of the sea. He walks first upon the water. He walks upon its surface, does not sink beneath the weight of His body, and even flies. You leave your ship and follow Him. You walk upon the water without sinking, following the sunlit path of your heart. When you find me on the beach, you leave your ship in the harbour and drop a deep anchor with the intention of never leaving me again.
Hand in hand, we walk through groves filled with figs, temptation and sin. There I love your body. And you lose yourself in the embrace of my summer body. My summer body is generous and abundant with caresses and tenderness. My summer body smells of jasmine and orange blossom. The hair of my summer body wraps itself around your soul, embraces your ship and lines the path towards it with daisies and olive trees. They bring oblivion and delight. My dark hair locks you within the darkness of delight, and you forget that you are a brave captain and a warrior. You stay with me. Neither of us wishes to remember.
But one day He walks upon the water again. He comes to us and reminds us that we were born for others as well, not only for our own happiness. We need to see ourselves reflected in others in order to recognise ourselves more fully. And you, fearless captain, slowly and reluctantly free your body from my dark hair, and you go in search of the path back to your ship, the ship that will carry you away from me. Because there are new seas and new lands waiting to be discovered. Because somewhere there is someone waiting for you to feed them and comfort them. Somewhere there is someone waiting for your compassion and mercy. Someone is waiting for you to wipe away their tears and listen to their story.
You walk away from me, promising to return. And I remain, waiting for the next ship. Because I am the eternal woman and the undying love.
There are many directions before you, many routes your ship can follow. You could travel simply for pleasure, wandering across the world while pretending that by getting to know it you are helping it. But the more countries you visit, the lonelier you become. The emptiness of endless roads clings to your heart and fills it with loneliness. That is why you do not travel merely to consume personal experiences or to feed yourself with landscapes. Because being a consumer is the easiest thing in the world. Perhaps people with great wealth can buy countless landscapes to consume. How easy it is to pass by people without truly seeing them, without becoming attached to them. Like a nomad, crossing vast spaces and wandering through geographical names. But you are also a divine man. You are capable of far more than consuming things for yourself. You are not greedy for the material world.
To feel compassion for another person is much harder. Because then you must involve your heart. It learns to understand other people's pain and happiness. It learns to feel, to comfort and to show mercy. That is what brings us closer to God. And people like to believe that there is something divine within them. So you choose to communicate with people, with hearts and with souls, not merely with places and maps. You wish to look into other human souls in order to know your own. That is how your youth passes—in the desire to understand your body and your heart. But the needs of your heart begin to change. It becomes ashamed of its selfish desire to consume. It longs to understand humanity and to love its neighbour without expecting anything in return. Because that is the only thing that prepares the heart for eternity.
For that reason, time and your ship carry you to places where someone truly needs you. You meet people who long for your human presence because they have spent too long alone upon the sea of humanity. You bring light and warmth into their lives. You bring joy simply through your presence. You help people understand that they are the most important beings in the whole universe, that they exist in order to discover themselves through strangers. Because only then is your love genuine, when it expects nothing in return. You travel thousands of miles, visit exotic lands, cross the deep deserts of the human heart and explore the frozen landscapes of the human soul. Wherever you go, life begins to grow in the deserts, and the frozen places of the soul grow warm and begin to dream of tenderness and togetherness. Wherever you go, the memory of brotherhood and love comes alive again. The memory of presence. The memory of meaning.
You conquer the lonely places of the Earth with warmth and affection. You are so brave that you are not afraid to enter places of military conflict. There you try to teach people on both sides of the barricades that human life is precious, the only thing truly worth living for and never worth dying for. Because it is an immense privilege to be a bearer of life, for in the vastness of the universe it exists only on our planet. Both sides of the barricades listen to your words of peace, love and brotherhood. They stop fighting. They pause for reflection. They sit together upon the battlefield and begin to think about your words. They trust you because you are brave and honest, because you embody love and mercy. They trust you because you neither buy nor sell anything to them, because you never use money as a weapon. Instead, you offer kindness, goodness and humanity.
No one truly loves the soldiers. Everyone simply uses them. They are used as instruments of destruction that bring death. And the soldiers on both sides lay down their weapons and embrace one another like brothers whose hearts suddenly remember that love is the only master they should obey. The soldiers remember that they were born to carry life, not death and destruction. And all those young, beautiful bodies dressed in military uniforms leave their weapons behind and go in search of the ones they love. Because within every soldier speaks the power and energy of life, commanding them to multiply love and kindness.
You remember your love as well. You remember me. And your ship turns once more towards my shore, where the fig trees hide our sin and the air is filled with the fragrance of jasmine and oranges. The scent of my hair becomes a compass pointing you towards harmony and love.
I wait for you upon the beach, wearing a green dress that reflects the fatal glow of the sea. My dark hair is like sails filled by the wind, helping your ship reach me more swiftly. And then your ship appears upon the horizon. All of nature fills with peace, harmony and love. The storms surrender to love and declare a truce.
You bring your ship to rest upon my shore, and the universe holds its breath because life is about to multiply once again. And this is the greatest cosmic event.
I am the eternal woman and the undying love.
